June Mission Focus: Young Life

Walking With Kids Toward Hope

Young Life has always carried a simple, courageous conviction: every kid is worth showing up for. As we enter June, our congregation turns its attention once again to this ministry that is quietly, faithfully shaping the lives of middle-schoolers, high-schoolers, and college students right here in Bristol. Many of you know the leaders who sit in our pews each Sunday—leaders who spend their evenings at ballgames, lunchrooms, coffee shops, and camp cabins simply to be present with kids who are longing to be seen.

Young Life’s mission remains beautifully straightforward:

· Going where kids are and building real relationships

· Creating life-changing experiences that open hearts to God

· Working alongside caring adults who believe every young person deserves to hear the good news of Jesus

We don’t have to look far to understand why this work matters. Our young people are navigating pressures that would have been unimaginable a generation ago—relentless digital noise, anxiety, fractured families, substance exposure, and a deepening sense of isolation. Many kids are carrying burdens they don’t know how to name. Into that reality, Young Life leaders step with patience, humor, consistency, and the steady light of Christ.

They show up. They listen. They earn trust. And when the moment is right, they speak the name of Jesus with gentleness and joy.

This is kingdom work—slow, relational, incarnational. It is the kind of ministry that mirrors the way Jesus Himself walked alongside people, meeting them on their turf and loving them into new life.

Throughout June, we invite you to come alongside Young Life Bristol in that same spirit. We will receive designated gifts all month long, with a special in-person offering on the final Sunday of June. You may give online, use the mission envelopes in the pews, or simply note “Young Life” on your offering.

However you choose to give, give with gratitude. God is using this ministry to plant seeds of hope in the next generation, and we are privileged to partner in that work.
