Abortion Alternatives & Crisis Pregnancy Center. 516 Holston Avenue, Bristol, TN 37620. Seeks to assist women and families in crisis. Provides services during pregnancy; may arrange housing during pregnancy; assists in arranging medical care, legal assistance, and community support.
Abuse Alternatives. 230 Midway Medical Park, Bristol, TN 37620. Provides temporary emergency shelter to women and families in crisis. Offers individual and family counseling. Maintains 24-hour crisis intervention counseling.
Bridge Refugee Services. 707 Florida Avenue, Bristol, TN 37620. Facilitates the resettlement of refugees in East Tennessee by cultivating, educating, and empowering refugee sponsors. First Presbyterian Church has sponsored refugees and provides office space for this ministry.
Bristol Emergency Food Pantry. 430 Russell Street, Bristol, VA 24201. Primary provider of emergency food in the Bristol area.
Bristol Faith in Action Interfaith and Referral Center. 703 Chester Street, Bristol, VA 24201. BFIA is a cooperative outreach ministry of the churches of Bristol and the local community, formed to serve any persons whose circumstances leave them with significant physical, social, emotional, or spiritual needs.
The Crisis Center. 100 Oakview Avenue, Bristol, VA 24201. Helps people with a variety of problems. Maintains 24-hour telephone hotline for crisis intervention and information/referral service. Youth Suicide hotline; daily reassurance calls to homebound. Sexual assault crisis prevention program.
Healing Hands Health Center. 210 Memorial Drive, Bristol, TN 37620. Christian ministry committed to meeting the unmet healthcare needs of working people in greater Bristol.
Good News Jail Ministry. Committed to preaching and teaching the gospel to prisoners in jails and prisons; serves the Bristol VA and Sullivan County jails.
Highlands Juvenile Detention Center Ministry. Shakesville Road, Bristol, VA 24201. Volunteer ministry by members of local churches who present gospel lesson to youths in this temporary holding facility.
Holston Habitat for Humanity. P.O. Box 5265, Kingsport, TN 37663-0265. Christian housing organization building simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with those who need adequate shelter.
Haven of Rest. 624 Anderson Street, Bristol, TN 37620. Men’s Ministry for hearing the gospel message. Food Service provides three meals a day, seven days a week to those in need; food boxes provided as needed. Haven Home and Haven Shelter provide housing and shelter for women and children.
Holston Presbytery. 1415 Waverly Road, Kingsport, TN 37664. FPC joins in mutual ministry, outreach, and support with 66 Presbyterian congregations in Northeast Tennessee.
King College. 1350 King College Road, Bristol, TN 37620. Our next-door neighbor and long-standing partner in ministry, King College is a Presbyterian church-related college. FPC gladly supports this ministry of higher education with both financial and cooperative assistance.
Marthina Memorial Chapel. 9th and Glen Streets, Bristol, TN. A chapel of First Presbyterian Church, Marthina Memorial Presbyterian Chapel maintains weekly worship, learning, and fellowship.
Meals on Wheels. Started at FPC in 1973, Meals on Wheels incorporates teams of volunteers from churches throughout Bristol. The FPC Meals on Wheels crew serves approximately 50 meals ever second Thursday of the month.
Opportunities Unlimited. 498 Industrial Drive, Bristol, TN 37620. Dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to achieve personal independence, Opportunities Unlimited opens doors for people who have mental, physical, or emotional disabilities.
Salvation Army. 137 Edgemont Avenue, Bristol, TN 37620. Comprehensive ministry to preach the gospel and meet human needs in the name of Jesus without discrimination.
Sharing Christ Mission. Sixth and State Streets, Bristol, TN. Local Christian mission provides a hot, nutritious free meal each Saturday evening to any in need, plus opportunity for worship on Sunday morning.
Scouting. First Presbyterian Church, 701 Florida Avenue, Bristol, TN 37620. Since 1922 FPC has sponsored BSA Troop 3 in the Sequoyah Council. We also sponsor Cub Scout Pack 3 and Venture Crew 3. Our Scout Wing is the site for our hosting of Girl Scout activities as well.
Wellmont Bloodmobile. Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center, 1 Medical Park Drive, Bristol, TN 37620. FPC hosts several visits from the Bloodmobile regularly thoughout the year.
