Learning about God
Do you know that Jesus loves you?
We ask this question of the children God has given to our care. We ask it whenever we teach them. We want them to know: God loves you. Jesus Christ is Lord of the whole universe, and he can handle anything that comes your way. God will be there for you. No matter where you go, or what you do, or what you say, God will be there and will love you.
Sunday School
Our Sunday school uses the Rotation Workshop method of teaching. Teams create multi-sensory activities to teach the Bible to children in kindergarten through 5th grade. There are four rooms, each of which teaches a different aspect of the month’s lesson. The children rotate to a room each week, while the teaching team stays in place, adjusting the lesson for each age group. It’s fun, and the children learn a lot.
Preschool class is not in the rotation, but is lovingly taught in a stable setting year-around.
Kids’ Kirk
During the 11:00 a.m. worship year-around and during the 8:30 service in the summer, children are dismissed to their own worship space and program.
Kid Connection
After our Wednesday evening supper, we have active and vibrant Bible study for children. It’s filled with games, songs and Bible truths.
Nursery
Our youngest worshippers receive God’s word in the loving setting of our Nursery. Enveloped in Christian music, they also learn lessons from the “We Believe” series. Our care givers are certified in CPR and first aid for our children’s safety.
Music Programs
Our children are invited to join any of many programs conducted by our Directors of Music Ministry, Vicki and Steve Fey. They include Cherub Choir (age 4-first grade), The Savior’s Singers and Children’s Handbells (grades 2-5).
