Pastor/Head of Staff: Dr. Gordon Turnbull has served as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church since April 1999. His education includes degrees from Davidson College, Vanderbilt University, Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, and Princeton Theological Seminary. Among his interests in ministry are preaching, worship, and mission. Gordon and his wife, Betsy, have been married for twenty-four years; they have three sons: Alec, Thomas, and John.
Minister for Discipleship: Dr. Dave Welch has served First Presbyterian church since June, 2005. His education includes degrees from Vanderbilt University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Columbia Theological Seminary of Atlanta Georgia. Along with worship, Dave is also interested in all new technology. He and his wife Linda have been married for 20 years; the have three children: Kathryn, Abigail and Stephen.
Directors of Music Ministries: Steve and Vicki Fey have served as Directors of Music Ministries since August of 1999. Steve is a graduate of Washington University and the University of North Texas, and Vicki is a graduate of Stetson University and also the University North Texas. Steve has a particular passion for hymns and their stories, and Vicki has served as President of the Executive Board of the Presbyterian Association of Musicians. They have been married twenty-seven years, and are particularly proud of their two sons, Alan and Jordan.
Director of Student Ministries: Chad Carpenter, has served as Director of Student Ministries since Dec. of 1999. He is a graduate of Taylor University. Chad also enjoys coaching football at the local high school. He and his wife, Jen, have been married for 8 years.
Director of Children’s Ministry: Dottie Havlik has served in her current position since August 2005. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she particularly likes teaching and writing curriculum. She and her husband, Robert, live in the country where they enjoy their goats, chickens, deer and rabbits. They have three children, Katie (who is married to bonus son Jason Rush), John and Patrick Havlik; and two grandsons, Alex and Wyatt Rush.
Business Administrator: Betsy Galliher
Worship Coordinator: Dr. Fred Foy Strang: Fred Foy has recently joined the staff of FPC as the 8:30 am Worship Leader. Fred Foy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Furman University, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Doctor of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary, a Master of Science by Research from the University of Edinburgh, and a Ph.D. from the Centre for the Study of Christianity in the Non Western World, University of Edinburgh. Ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 1987, he has served with his wife, Cecily, and boys, Jesse and Jacob, as a missionary among the Maasai people of Kenya and Tanzania, as well as initiating and leading Contemporary worship services in several different churches. Dr. Strang serves King College as an Associate Professor of Missions and Bible and Religion Tennessee and Assistant Chaplain.

Church Secretary: Dee Eldreth
Church Secretary: Dee Eldreth has served as Church Secretary of First Presbyterian Church since May of 1981. Away from the office, enjoys cooking, piano, the beach, and most of all time with son Michael and grandson Carter.
