First Presbyterian Church celebrates 150 years of ministry in 2008. From the earliest days of Bristol, Presbyterians have gathered to worship God and serve the Lord. From its organization in 1858 for the next century, the church was located at Fifth and Shelby Streets. In 1963 the church moved to its present location, one block off of East State Street at the corner of Florida Avenue and Spruce Street.

First Presbyterian Church gladly seeks to honor and further our rich heritage, joining in cooperative ministry through Holston Presbytery and with other Christian congregations in Bristol, reaching out and share God’s saving love and grace with people in Bristol and throughout the world.
